Camping with detours

For someone like Cora, her friend's behavior was sometimes punishing. She should not be misunderstood. Her heart belongs only to Liam and she appreciates his loyalty above everything else, but if it had been up to him, he would have liked to spend his vacation within his own four walls. Cora, however, didn't think much of it. She wanted to get out for once. She felt like a caged animal.
For months, nothing had really been able to be done because of the pandemic, and now that relaxations were finally taking place, her husband's forehead read "Home Sweet Home." He could forget about just sitting at home now that they both finally had a vacation.
When Cora walked into his study that day with two large backpacks and all sorts of gear, she felt Liam's eyes roaming over her suspiciously. "Cute shorts, but what are you going to do with the backpacks?" he asked. "Wrong question. What are we going to do with the backpacks." she corrected him with a grin. Liam's eyebrows moved higher and higher until Cora walked up to him and smoothed the wrinkles on his forehead with her thumb. "Don't look like that," she begged, sitting down on his lap. She heard him take a deep breath, ready to voice his criticism, but Cora beat him to it and wrapped her arms around his torso. "Liam," she murmured, looking up at him through her lashes as she pouted playfully. "I don't want to spend our whole vacation inside. I can't look at this apartment anymore." "You want to move?" asked Liam back sarcastically. Cora dropped theatrically into his arms. "Oh poor me. My husband is always so mean to me."
After a brief moment of silence, she peeked up at him from one eye and just saw him roll his eyes. "What are you up to?" he finally asked as his hand wandered through her hair to soften his annoyed undertone. "Camping!" beamed Cora. "Camping?" "Camping!" she affirmed, pressing a kiss to Liam's cheek as he resigned himself to his fate.
About a week later, the two were in a packed car and on their way, heading to the wooded area Cora had found while researching online. While Liam followed the directions on the sat nav, Cora talked next to him about all the camping trips she had taken with her parents as a child. Liam completely missed such experiences. He had grown up in the big city and his parents had always had to work a lot, even at vacation times. Cora eyed him wide when she heard this. "So you've really never been camping?" Liam's lips twitched imperceptibly. "No, why are you so surprised?" "How can you have never been camping before! Then it's time we changed that today. I promise you'll love it." Liam looked briefly at his wife. He had the feeling the sun himself was sitting across from him, beaming at him as he looked into her face. Cora seemed genuinely excited about the trip. The trip was worth it just for her enthusiastic face, Liam thought with a grin.
Around noon, they finally arrived. While Liam parked their car next to a few other cars, Cora was already fishing the map out of her pocket. Liam eyed her and raised an eyebrow. "What's this going to be?" "What, this? Hi, if we're going camping, let's go really old-school." She opined and hopped out of the car, map, and compass in hand. Liam leaned back in his seat for a moment. "Dear God, let us arrive safely." With that shouted prayer, he climbed out of the wagon as well. While Cora tried to get her bearings, Liam unpacked the car. With two backpacks packed full and the tent, he finally approached them.
Cora pressed a kiss to his cheek before shouldering her backpack. "Well then, let's get going. Biss to our campsite we still have quite a ways to go, so let's go!" "How much 'bit of a way' are we talking about?" asked Liam before following the figure in front of him. "Oh...um...let me surprise you," Cora laughed. Liam already suspected evil, but he stifled his comment.
They had been walking all afternoon, and as the sun slowly began to set, Liam's mood had reached a low point. "Cora...where the hell are we?" His wife stopped and looked around before eyeing the map. "I don't get it. We should have been there a long time ago." Cora studied the map with her eyebrows drawn together before Liam pulled both from her hand in annoyance. Perplexed, he looked at the map and then at the compass, but couldn't really figure either out until something caught his eye. Several times he looked at the sky and then at the compass before slapping the flat of his hand against his forehead. "What, what is it?" asked Cora as she pulled his hand away from his face. "Cora...which compass direction does the sun set?" "West, why?" She held his hand tighter as he tried to hit his forehead again. "Look at your compass, where the west indicates." Cora immediately took the small device from his hand. "What the hell? We've been walking in the wrong direction this whole time?" Stunned, she looked at the compass.
"Damn it I'm sorry, Liam." Addressed shook his head and pulled his cell phone out of his pocket. "Hey. I thought we agreed to leave the phones at home," she pouted. One look from Liam was enough to silence her. Wordlessly, Liam handed her his cell phone, on which he had opened a compass app. "Come on let's keep going." Cora looked after him as he walked past her and sighed. This was not how she had imagined it. They probably wouldn't even make it to camp today. Then she would have to improvise now.
Cora scrupulously compared the map from then on to the direction they were walking. The sun was sinking lower and lower, and while Liam wanted to make more haste, Cora was already considering alternatives. There was no way they were going to make it to camp today, she didn't need to kid herself about that. "Liam, wait a minute!" she called out at one point. She caught up to him and showed him the map. "Look. The river here leads to a small lake. We could camp here for the night." "What about camp?" "There's no way we can do that today. If your phone still has to serve as our flashlight the battery will die too quickly and then we'll definitely have a problem." Liam looked over her shoulder at the map and sighed. "Okay...then we'll camp at the lake." "Very well.", Cora smiled before hooking up with him.
Said lake was really not far away, thankfully. On one of the shores, the two found a relatively flat area on which they pitched their tent. Liam took two lamps out of his backpack and put them on the ground before he continued looking for the food they had packed. Cora, meanwhile, had gone to the lakeshore to cool her aching feet in the water. Slowly, she closed her eyes and simply enjoyed the silence. Above her, the first stars were already shining. In maybe half an hour it would already be dark.
When she heard soft footsteps next to her, she looked behind her and smiled slightly at Liam. Carefully she stood up and took his hands. "I'm sorry things got so messy today. I didn't mean to honestly I..." Liam interrupted by pulling her against him. "I'm sorry too," he said. Cora looked at him questioningly before he picked her up and threw her into the water.
Gasping, she emerged from the water again. "You ass! That's freezing!" Liam, meanwhile, stood on the shore, barely able to contain himself from laughing. Cora brushed her wet hair out of her face before using her hands to splash Liam wet. He backed away before she caught him, though. "Are you really going to challenge me Cora?" "You're not getting in the water anyway you coward," she returned flippantly. Liam eyed her briefly before removing his clothes and boots before jumping into the water beside her.
"So come here my dear." Cora swam backward a bit. "Liam! Forget it." she admonished him before she already felt him grab her by the leg and pull her under the water with him. Cora freed herself from his grip and pushed his head down. She quickly swam to the surface only to splash Liam wet again as soon as he surfaced.
Liam began to laugh before doing the same to her. Cora turned her face away laughing, but didn't see Liam submerge either. Confused, she looked around when she didn't see Liam anymore until she felt arms around her waist, holding her and pressing her against a warm body. Liam reappeared as Cora wrapped her legs around his waist to look down at him. She was visibly relieved to see that Liam's bad mood had apparently faded.
Gently, she stroked his hair out of his face before putting her forehead against his. Wordlessly, Liam put his head back a bit to press his lips against hers. Cora knew he wasn't the talkative type and his actions spoke louder than his words. This kiss was his way of apologizing for his bad mood before. Cora returned his kiss immediately. The muscles under her fingers relaxed instantly as Liam registered that she accepted his apology.
For a small eternity they just held each other. All that could be heard was the gentle wind blowing in the trees and the lapping of the water. Otherwise, it was completely silent. Cora buried her hand in Liam's wet hair as he pulled her tighter against him. When she shuddered in his arms, though, Liam broke off the kiss. "We should get out of the water." Cora nodded silently, but didn't detach herself from Liam an inch. The latter, of course, registered this immediately and leaned toward her ear. "Don't worry, I'll warm you up again," he murmured. Again Cora shivered, but this time definitely not from the cold.
Liam held her close and shortly after made his way to shore with her. As soon as they had solid ground under their feet again, he disappeared briefly into the tent to get their blankets. Cora eyed him and sighed in mock disappointment. "And I thought you wanted to tease me in a different way...", the sentence remained unfinished on her lips, which were sealed with Liam's shortly after. The kiss took away any air she could breathe and made her knees go weak. She hardly noticed how Liam tampered with her shirt and took it off, including her bra. This time Cora broke off the kiss to take off the rest of her clothes. When she looked back up at him, Liam put one hand under her chin and ran his thumb over her lower lip while his other hand stroked her hair back. Again, he leaned toward her ear. "You look beautiful," he whispered. His rough hand traveled down her back, tracing the line of her spine.
Cora stretched a little to press her lips against his collarbone. The faint light of the moon and stars illuminated his body in just the right places, perfectly emphasizing the contours of his muscles. She could only begin to imagine what it looked like on her own and felt a slight warmth on her face. Liam grasped both of her wrists and moments later pulled her down to the floor with him.
Once Liam was seated, she climbed onto his lap and pressed her upper body against his. His body radiated such a pleasant warmth that she couldn't help but snuggle as close to him as possible. Within seconds, she had him in another hungry kiss. Her one hand buried itself in his hair as Liam's hands explored her body. Every inch of her skin touched by his rough hands automatically heated up. Just as his one hand traced a burning trail down her torso to her center behind him, she moaned softly against his lips. Liam acknowledged this with a light bite on her lower lip.
His hand wandered between her legs, caressing them there, while his thumb indulged her clit in circular motions. Cora released the kiss breathlessly before burying her face in the crook of his neck and softly gasping his name. "Was it this kind of...warm up you had in mind?" he asked her breathlessly. Cora opened her mouth to answer at the exact moment Liam's two fingers entered hers. "Yes!" she moaned against his skin. Her hands immediately clawed tighter against him until her gaze wandered between their two bodies.
Her hand reluctantly disengaged from his hair and wandered to his erection. Purposefully, she grasped it and was rewarded with a stifled gasp from her husband. "Damn it Cora.", Liam cursed softly. She bit gently into his skin above his chest before moving her hips toward his fingers.
She could hear his moan as she pleasured his glans and shuddered again. His moans were one of the sounds she could hear all day. Liam moved his fingers inside her a little faster before suddenly pulling them back out of her and lifting her chin again. "I want you...now." he murmured against her slightly parted lips before gently stroking hers with his. She gasped in agreement, and tried to engage him in a kiss again, but Liam wouldn't let her.
Without further ado, she let go of his member and instead propped both hands on his shoulders for some support before slowly lowering herself onto him. He penetrated her perfectly, eliciting only another breathless moan from her. Liam's hands moved to her hips and only pulled her tighter, making him enter her a little deeper. "Liam." "My beautiful Cora." he whispered against her skin.
She bit her lower lip but began to move on top of him shortly after. Her hands clawed tighter into his shoulders as Liam whispered compliments and declarations of love in her ear and against her lips. She swallowed hard. His words made her heart beat faster and faster and only caused her to move faster and more intensely on top of him. Every gasp and moan that passed his lips was reward enough for her in the process.
His hands on her hips gave her a rhythm, which she was only too happy to follow, just as he also came towards her a bit at a time, she put her head back in her neck, as she enjoyed it so much. However, when Liam started to spoil her nipples with his mouth, a loud moan escaped her, which already resembled more a distorted scream of pleasure. Automatically, she pressed his face harder against her skin while her hips moved faster and faster against his.
She was already so close to her climax, she could already feel the muscles in her abdomen tightening. Liam seemed to be feeling much the same way. The vibrations of his moans, around her sensitive skin sent a pleasant shiver down her spine. He wandered the bridge of his nose over her neck, which he covered with kisses, and at the same time gripped her hips tighter to give her a more intense rhythm. "Harder." she gasped. The only thing she wanted was to finally come. She wanted it so badly that she didn't even realize how desperately she was begging Liam to finally make her climax.
With one hard thrust, she felt herself coming. Her whole body shook as Liam also came to his orgasm. The two of them sat together tightly embraced in the light of the moon for half an eternity until Liam pulled up the other blanket and put it around them both.
Cora snuggled up to him and leaned her head against his chest. "Thanks for warming me up," she murmured, kissing his chest affectionately. Liam snorted in amusement as he stroked her hair. "You know I think I might not find camping so bad after all." Cora laughed and kissed him. "I'll keep that in mind." "You do that." The two sat on the shore of the lake for quite a while, enjoying the silence of the forest and the starry sky above them.
